Well done to all who participated in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday night in Fintona Golf Club. All teams represented themselves very well but particular commendation must go to our winning P.6 team of Tara Darcy, Cormac Darcy, Alana Teague and Tomás Mullan and our P.7 team of Lily Rose Darcy, Natasha Armstrong, Rosemary Gormley and Finbar Darcy who finished runners up in the P.7 section. Our victorious P.6 team will now go on to represent the school in the Chapter final later the year.
SERVICE OF LIGHT
Our P.7 pupils along with their parents and sponsors are invited along to a Service of Light in the Sacred Heart Church tonight at 7.30pm. All families are encouraged to attend and pupils are asked to wear their school uniform.
The Parents Association wish to acknowledge the £280 raised via donations in advance of the Christmas holidays. These funds will be used to help provide educational opportunities for our pupils in a climate of ongoing cuts and austerity. Thank you.
PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS
We will be hosting our Parent Teacher meetings next Tuesday & Wednesday (11th & 12th February) from 9.30am – 4.00pm. We encourage all parents to phone the school and arrange a convenient time to discuss your child/children’s progress. Should this week prove unsuitable feel free to contact the teacher(s) concerned to arrange a mutually convenient date.
The school photographer will be in school tomorrow morning. All pupils should ensure that full school uniform is worn.
We welcome along Miss Ciara Colton, a student from St. Mary’s University, Belfast, who begins her teaching practice in Mrs Breen’s class today. We trust you enjoy your stay Ciara.
BIRDWATCH/BIRDS OF PREY
Wednesday will be a busy day in the school as our senior pupils will participate in the RSPB ‘Birdwatch’ event in the morning and then this will be followed by a Birds of Prey display featuring Barn Owls, Buzzards etc. We ask for a donation of £1 to cover costs please.
