DO THIS IN MEMORY MEETING
A meeting for all P.4 parents will be held tonight in St. Joseph’s Hall at 8.15pm. This meeting will explain and outline the ‘Do This In Memory’ programme which prepares P.4 pupils for their First Communion later in the year. All parents are encouraged to attend but pupils are not required to attend. The first ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass will be held in the Sacred Heart Church this Saturday (28th Sept.) at 6.00pm.
BAG PACK
Many thanks are extended to our Parents’ Association and others who gave of their time so willingly to participate in Saturday’s ‘Bag Pack’ in Asda.
SCHOOL MASS
Our Mass to celebrate the beginning of our new school year will be celebrated in the school on Thursday (26th) afternoon at 1.30pm. All are warmly invited.
SAFEGUARDING FORMS
Any parent yet to complete and return acknowledgement or consent slips in relation to safeguarding documents issued last week, is asked to return these to the school as soon as possible.
TIN WHISTLE
As mentioned last week, tin whistle lessons continue in the school tomorrow for all pupils in P.3 – P.7. We ask that you play your part by encouraging practice so as to maximise the benefit of these lessons. All whistles should be clearly labelled with your child’s name on it. Whistles can be bought in the school at a cost of £6.
P.4 SACRAMENTAL DATES
Dates for P.4’s First Holy Communion and First Confession have been arranged. First Confession will be heard in Drumragh Chapel on Thursday, 26th March at 6.00pm, while First Holy Communion will be celebrated in Drumragh Chapel on Saturday, 23rd May at 12.30pm.
HOLIDAY LIST
Please find attached an amended copy of our Holiday List. The changes surround the Mayday Bank Holiday (4th) which the Government has, next year, moved to Fri. 8th May. As a result, the initial closures on Mon. 4th and Tue. 5th May have now been amended to Friday, 8th and Monday 11th May 2020. Kindly bin your old Holiday List to avoid confusion.
SCHOOL CLOSURE
The school will be closed on Friday of this week (27th Sept) for School Development Training.
CONFIRMATION
The date for P.7’s Sacrament of Confirmation has been fixed for Saturday, 28th March at 3.00pm.
