CONGRATULATIONS P.4

A big congratulations is extended to all our P.4 pupils who made their 1st Holy Communion on Saturday. All pupils contributed magnificently to the Mass itself and evidently prepared diligently for their day. Hopefully they all had a day which will remain long in their memory. Well done all!

Many thanks also to all those who made up the choir for the 1st Communion Mass. It is indeed very gratifying to know that the school community will rally together on such an occasion to ensure the event is so special. On a similar theme, thanks to the members of the Parents’ Association for their splendid efforts in providing refreshments afterwards back in the school – it really was very much appreciated.

CROSS-COUNTRY

Well done to our Cross-Country runners who performed so well in Greencastle last week. Although no silverware was brought home, two individuals in particular performed admirably in their races. In the girls’ race Lucy McCann finished in 6th place, while in the boys’ race, Brandon Downey conceding 2 years to most in the field, finished just outside the medals in 4th place. But well done to all who attended and completed a very gruelling run on a very warm morning.

GOOD LUCK CAROL

Good luck to Carol McKnight who travels to Belfast on Thursday to participate in the Ulster Final of the Eason’s Spelling Bee competition. We have no doubt that Carol will acquit herself very well….enjoy your day Carol!

ALLIANZ CUMANN NA MBUNSCOIL

Our footballers participate in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil schools competition tomorrow morning in Tattyreagh GAC. Good luck to all involved.

SCHOOL CLOSURE

Just a wee reminder that school is closed next Monday-Wednesday (28-30th May) but will re-open on Thursday at the usual time.

WELL DONE EOGHAN

Congratulations to Eoghan McGrath who played in the half-time exhibition game at
Healy Park yesterday. Eoghan certainly enjoyed the occasion and gave a very good account of himself. Well Done Eoghan!
