Monday, 11th December 2017 Weekly Note

As mentioned previously, the annual Christmas plays are taking place this week. The P.1-P.3 presentations will take place this afternoon at 1.30pm with the P.4-P.7 shows being held on Wednesday night at 7.30pm. All are warmly invited to attend and show your support. To enable us to get everything in order for the senior plays and Christmas draw, there will be a half day on Wednesday. We ask that arrangements be made to lift your child/children between 12.30-12.45pm when they will have finished their dinner.
Please note there will be no After School Provision for P.1-P.3 on Wednesday.

Many thanks to all who have bought tickets or donated prizes for the Christmas Draw. The draw will take place after Wednesday’s school plays, when tea and mince pies will be served, courtesy of the Parents’ Association.

Please note that there will be no After School Clubs this week. After school provision for P.1-P.3 is still available except for Wednesday (as mentioned above).

Christmas dinner is being served in the school this Friday, 15th December. As there are usually very high numbers taking dinner that day, we ask that anyone not wishing to take dinner on Friday, please let their teacher know by Wednesday. As dinners are ordered in advance, it would be appreciated by the catering dept. to have as accurate a number for ordering as possible.

The school is once again acting as a promoter for the Drumragh Parish Draw next year. Anyone wishing to subscribe should contact the school before the holidays as the first draw takes place in early January.

A group of P.5-P.7 pupils have been asked to provide some carols and poems for the Senior Citizens of Slieve na Mon Nursing Home next Monday. All pupils selected are invited to bring their tin whistles.

Please ensure that dinner money is paid by Monday, 18th December. Cheques for school dinners should be made payable to E A Western Region.
