Back in the Autumn, the school participated in the Hedgerow Heroes competition sponsored by Moy Park and were one of the winning schools across the North.
As a result, we were rewarded with a native hedgerow of our own which was to be planted within the school grounds.
This planting session has just been completed but involved a lot of hard work (and dirty hands) but with the expert help of Emma Denton and Peter McErlean (from Keep N. Ireland Beautiful) we successfully planted an entire hedgerow to the front of the school, which will mature nicely in the years to come.
This little video encapsulates all the fun and hard work involved in the morning’s work. Well done everyone!
