Monday, 7th September 2015 Weekly Note

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

The selection of after-school activities is currently being finalised.  These activities will commence next week – next week’s note will give an outline of activities, days and time.  Also a little reminder for parents of KS1 pupils (P.1-P.3) that after school provision is now available (2.15-3.15pm) at a cost of £2 daily.  (Please note that the cost is reduced to £1 for any additional child in a family.)

TIN WHISTLE

Tin whistle for all pupils P.3-P.7 begins next Tuesday, 15th September.  We ask that parents play their part by encouraging their children to practise regularly and bring their whistles to school on Tuesdays.  In recent years an increasing number of pupils have been entered for traditional music exams with great success, so there are plenty of opportunities to achieve.

TRANSFER PROCEDURE

Any P.7 parent planning to get their child to sit the 2015 Transfer Exam for admission to Grammar School is reminded that registration closes on Friday, 25th September.

CREDIT UNION

The popular Credit Union savings scheme will resume in the school this Thursday.  Anyone wishing to join up can get an application form in the school.

CONSENT FORMS

Consent forms were issued last week in relation to various aspects of Child Protection.  We ask that these be completed and returned to the school as soon as possible.

N.S.P.C.C.

Pupils in P.6/7 will be participating in a N.S.P.C.C. Childline Awareness Programme over the next 2 Fridays.  Exact details on the nature of the programme will be issued during this week.
