WELL DONE RONAN & NIAMH
Well done to our two P.7 pupils, Ronan Collins and Niamh Harkin, who participated in the mini games at half time in the Tyrone v Dublin game yesterday. No doubt this was quite an experience playing in front of such a large crowd and one we hope you enjoyed thoroughly.
PAIRED READING
There will be a short ‘wrapping up’ ceremony for P.4/5 pupils involved in the Paired Reading Programme tomorrow night (Tue 8th) at 7.30pm. This will see all pupils presented with their certificates and should last no more than 30-40 mins.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER
The school photographer will be in the school on Thursday. As always a variety of individual and family photos will be taken with no obligation to purchase. There will also be a whole school photograph and for this reason we ask that all girls wear their shirt and tie as opposed to their summer dress as the photographer has advised this can detract from the finished product.
FARM SAFETY
The school will be visited by members of Health & Safety Executive on Friday, when they will give a talk to all pupils on the subject of farm safety.
BISHOP DONAL MCKEOWN
As a school community we remember our new Bishop of Derry, Rev. Donal McKeown, who was installed yesterday afternoon. We hope and pray he will have many happy and fulfilling years in his new ministry.
SCHOOL CLOSURE
Just a reminder about the additional school closure on Tuesday, 6th May which was mentioned in last week’s note.
