Monday, 28th May 2013 Weekly Note

Heartiest congratulations are extended to our Girls Football Team, who were the inaugural winners of the Omagh St. Enda’s Primary Schools’ Tournament on Friday.  The girls showed great skill and determination in defeating schools from Gortnagarn, Tycur and Gaelscoil na gCrann before meeting more stubborn resistance from Holy Family P.S. and St. Conor’s P.S. in the semi-final and final respectively.  A fantastic achievement for such a young team, the majority of whom will still be wearing our school jersey next year.

The boys put in a fantastic effort too, before being pipped by St. Conor’s P.S. in the semi-final when all present were in agreement that lady luck wasn’t smiling on our boys that afternoon!

The girls’ team will participate in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil blitz on Thursday in Castlederg – so hopefully they will carry on their winning ways!

Pupils in P.7 have their Confirmation Retreat on Friday morning in the Pastoral Centre with members of the Parish Liturgy Group.

The final ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 12.30pm in the SacredHeartChurchwhen all pupils are invited to wear their Communion outfits once again.

Any pupil P.4 or above willing to become an Altar Server in St. Mary’s Church, Drumragh is asked to give their name into the school office.

Our pupils will be participating in a soccer challenge against our neighbours McClintock P.S. Seskinore on Friday afternoon.  Here’s hoping we can steal local bragging rights!

The Christian Brothers’ Grammar School along with Loreto Grammar School are holding a joint meeting in the Christian Brothers’ Grammar School at 7.00pm tonight (28th) for parents of P.6 pupils wishing to enter their children for the Entrance Assessment in November 2013.
