MAMMA MIA
Wednesday night’s production of Mamma Mia in the Strule Arts Centre proved to be an outstanding success and congratulations to everyone involved. The children, of course, were absolute stars and we hope the experience of ‘treading the boards’ in such a wonderful arena is a memory they carry with them for a very long time.
Thanks are due to the many individuals who assisted in any way but particular thanks are extended to our Parents’ Association without whose financial support the venture simply would not have taken place.
FOOTBALL SUCCESS
Congratulations are due to our footballers who had a successful day in Beragh on Friday last when they were joint winners of the Paddy Bogan Cup. The boys beat teams from Eskra, Gortin and Recarson to reach the Final against hosts Beragh. A titanic struggle ensued in the blistering heat with both teams level at the end. Even the sudden death rule of 45’s couldn’t separate the teams so given the hot conditions it was decided to share the cup with St. Oliver Plunkett P.S. Beragh. Well done boys!
The girls, meanwhile, were over in St. Conor’s P.S. Omagh for a netball tournament. Playing against the large town schools the girls put in very credible performances even notching up a victory against Recarson. All girls involved enjoyed the day thoroughly.
