Monday, 26th September 2016 Weekly Note

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT DAY – MONDAY, 3RD OCTOBER 2016

As mentioned in our holiday list (issued earlier in September) the school had one School Development Day yet to be confirmed.  This day has now been confirmed for next Monday, 3rd October and school will therefore be closed for all pupils.  School will re-open at the usual time on Tuesday morning.

MUSIC CLASSES

All pupils (P3-P7) are now receiving their weekly Tin Whistle lessons on a Tuesday afternoon and we ask you to encourage a little practice on a regular basis to make these classes worthwhile.

Nuala Sweeney hosts further classes on a Wednesday night in St. Patrick’s Hall, Fintona should anyone wish to avail of these.  Pupils of these classes participate in Fleadhs and ultimately can, in time, avail of the opportunity to learn a variety of instruments.

For anyone interested, times are as follows:

6.00 – 6.45pm             Beginners

6.45 – 7.30pm             Improvers

SCHOOL MASS

Due to Monsignor Donnelly being on holiday and the recent change of curate in the Parish, we have been unable to organise a date for our traditional Mass at this stage.  Details will, of course, be given as soon as possible.

GOOD LUCK

A huge good luck to Ciaran (our Caretaker), all our past pupils and indeed all associated with St. Patrick’s GAC, as they approach Sunday’s Championship Final against Rock.  Here’s hoping their hard work over the year will be rewarded with a richly deserved win.  Good luck lads!!
