CREDIT UNION QUIZ

Good luck is extended to our P.6/P.7 pupils, who will participate in the annual Credit Union Quiz on Friday night, 29th January in Fintona Golf Club at 8.00pm.  Doubtless our ‘quiz buffs’ will represent themselves well!

TRANSFER RESULTS

Needless to say our P.7 pupils will anxiously be awaiting the post on Saturday to receive the outcome of their Transfer examination.  Good luck to all involved – but remember irrespective of grade received all gave of their best and with the same good attitude will thrive in any of our local secondary schools in the years ahead.

P.6//P.7 SWIMMING PROGRAMME

The P.6/P.7 swimming programme commences this morning and will run for 15 weeks.  All pupils involved are reminded of the importance of remembering their swimming gear weekly.

SACRED HEART COLLEGE VISIT

Pupils in P.7 will be visited on Tuesday morning by staff members of Sacred Heart College in advance of their transfer results this weekend.

INDOOR GAELIC BLITZ

Good luck to our boys who will participate in the Allianz Indoor Gaelic Blitz next Monday morning at 10.00am.  The winners of this local section will then qualify for the Tyrone finals later in the spring term.

SCHOOL MAGAZINE

This year our school is celebrating its 50th anniversary and as part of our celebrations we are putting together a commemorative magazine.  Obviously it would be great if we could have any old photographs, newspaper cuttings etc. relating to the school which might prove of interest.  All donations of photos etc. will be looked after and returned after use.

SCHOOL SHOW

A further part of our 50th anniversary celebrations will see our P.4-P.7 pupils presenting the musical ‘Circle of Life’ in the Strule Arts Centre on 26th and 27th April.  Auditions for this show will be taking place in the next week and obviously we encourage as many pupils as possible to participate in the venture.  Our last show, ‘Mama Mia’ proved to be a highlight of many pupils primary school years and those who didn’t participate were clearly disappointed at missing out so please, please, please ensure your child gets involved in this exciting venture.
