WELCOME BACK ALL
A big welcome back is extended to all our pupils after the Easter break. We trust that all made the most of the lovely weather and are suitably refreshed for our final term.
NAME MARKINGS
With the new term having just commenced, we respectfully remind all parents to ensure that items of uniform are re-marked with your child’s/childrens name. Hopefully the summer term will bring warmer weather and so the greater likelihood of children removing garments; it would help greatly with the smooth running of the school if name markings could be re-applied clearly for identification purposes.
MILK
Milk will start again this Wednesday with a cost of £5.50 to end of term. Money should be sent in by Wednesday.
TRÓCAIRE
Many thanks to all who contributed towards our Trócaire fundraiser just before the Easter holiday. A magnificent total of £793.94 was raised. Well done also to all our pupils who really did put in a great effort in learning their spellings and joining in the ‘singalong’.
WELL DONE CALLUM
A huge congratulations is extended to P.7 pupil Callum McGillin who won the All Ireland Boxing Championship (48kg Division) in Dublin on Friday last. Callum won his semi-final bout on Wednesday before defeating his Polish/Tipperary opponent in the final on Friday evening. Congratulations Callum. Similarly, congratulations are extended to our past pupil Tirynn Mullan who also won the All Ireland boxing title in the 40kg Division.
DANCING SUCCESS
On a similar theme a huge well done to all our Irish Dancers who participated in the ‘Worlds’ in Belfast just before Easter. All of our pupils acquitted themselves very well with a number of very notable individual and team achievements. Well done all.
EASONS SPELLING BEE
The school will be hosting the Tyrone Final of the Eason’s Spelling Bee on Thursday morning, good luck to all involved but particularly our own Jack McCrory who will be representing this school.
DO THIS IN MEMORY MASS
The next ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass for P.4 1st Communion pupils will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church this Saturday (29th April) at 6.00pm.
MAYDAY BANK HOLIDAY
The school will be closed next Monday for the Mayday Bank Holiday. The school will re-open on Tuesday morning at the usual time.
