Monday, 21st May 2012 Weekly Note

Good luck to all our pupils involved in Wednesday night’s show Mamma Mia in the Strule Arts Centre.  All pupils have been rehearsing very busily over the past few months so hopefully Wednesday night will be a memorable experience for them all.  The show begins at 8.00pm and the tickets have been virtually sold out so a great atmosphere is guaranteed.  A handful of tickets remain should anyone still need them (Strule Arts Centre: 8224 7831).

The pupils will be rehearsing in the Arts Centre all day Wednesday so as to get a feel for the facilities.  If you feel you could assist with transport on Wednesday (morning & evening) please contact the school as this would eliminate the need for hiring a bus.

This is ‘Walk to School Week’ an annual event organised by DRD.  Obviously it is not possible for many pupils to walk to school but even a ‘part walk’ may be worthy of consideration for some.  Given the pleasant forecast, all classes will do their best to promote this in school by participating in occasional walks during the week.

Good luck to the school footballers who travel to Beragh on Friday morning for the Paddy Bogan Cup.  First game commences at 10.30am approximately.

Also on Friday the netballers are off to St. Conor’s PS in Omagh for a netball tournament.  Good luck to all involved.

Next Monday (28th May) is the annual Pledge Mass for P.7 pupils.  This mass is celebrated in theSacredHeartChurch at 7.30pm and given the importance of the event, we encourage all P.7 pupils to attend.

With the current pleasant spell of weather now upon us, we respectfully remind parents to ensure all items of uniform are clearly marked with their child’s name.  This will avoid items being lost or taken by mistake during break and dinner-time when children tend to remove these items.
