Monday, 1st June 2015 Weekly Note

CONGRATULATIONS P.4

A big congratulations is extended to all our P.4 pupils who made their 1st Holy Communion on Saturday. All pupils contributed magnificently to the Mass itself and evidently prepared diligently for their big day. Hopefully they all had a day which will remain long in their memory. Well done all!

Many thanks also to all those who made up the choir for the 1st Communion Mass. It is indeed very gratifying to know that the school community will rally together on such an occasion to ensure the event is so special. On a similar theme, thanks to the members of the Parents’ Association for their splendid efforts in providing refreshments afterwards back in the school – it really was very much appreciated.

IRISH NEWS COACHING DAY

The Irish News Coaching day which we won a few months back, will be held this Thursday. Both Mr Kelly and Mr McElholm’s class will be the lucky beneficiaries of this, so hopefully the weather will stay dry to enable maximum enjoyment for all.  On a similar note, any Irish News tokens for the current competition need to be submitted this week.

HOLY FAMILY CUP

Good luck to the boys’ and girls’ football teams who travel to Healy Park on Friday to participate in the Holy Family Cup. Hopefully the girls can bring the cup back to the school for the 3rd time in succession.

P.1-P.3 TRIP

The P.1-P.3 school trip has been organised for next Tuesday (9th June) when the pupils will travel to Mellon Fun Farm. Further details will be issued nearer the day.

SCHOOL LEAVERS’ MASS

The annual School Leavers’ Mass has been organised for Tuesday, 16th June at 1.30pm.
