TRANSFER TEST
Well done to all our pupils who participated in Saturday’s Transfer exam. All lived to tell the tale and will now await the results in the New Year. All have worked hard in preparation for the test and should be commended for their efforts, irrespective of the grade achieved.
ANTI-BULLYING WEEK
This week is ‘Anti-Bullying’ week in association with the Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum. To mark this week we have a couple of significant events in the school. This morning all pupils will be treated to the ever popular Tom Sweeney who will be conducting a sing-a-long in his own inimitable style. During this presentation he will be addressing issues of bullying, so that all pupils are aware of the various types of bullying.
On Thursday, P6/P7 pupils will be given a presentation on ‘Internet Safety’ by our local PSNI Community Liaison Officer when aspects of risk from a technology perspective will be highlighted and discussed and should prove very educational in this increasingly technological world.
PARENT/TEACHER MEETING
As mentioned previously, we will be hosting our Parent/Teacher meetings next week after school (Mon-Thurs). We encourage all parents to phone the school and arrange a convenient time to discuss your child/children’s progress. Should next week prove unsuitable, feel free to contact the teacher(s) concerned to arrange a mutually convenient date.
DO THIS IN MEMORY MASS
The next ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass for P.4 pupils will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, 23rd November at 12.30pm.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAYRE
Just a wee reminder to keep free Sunday, 7th December, when the school will be hosting a Christmas Craft Fayre from 2-5pm.
