TRANSFER TEST
Well done to all our pupils who participated in Saturday’s Transfer exam. All lived to tell the tale and will now await the results in the New Year. All have worked hard in preparation for the test and should be commended for their efforts, irrespective of the grade achieved.
PARENT/TEACHER MEETING
As mentioned previously, we will be hosting our Parent/Teacher meetings this week after school (Mon-Thurs). We encourage all parents to phone the school and arrange a convenient time to discuss your child/children’s progress. Should this week prove unsuitable, feel free to contact the teacher(s) concerned to arrange a mutually convenient date.
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION
There will be a meeting of the Parents’ Association in the school on Tuesday night (17th Nov.) at 8.00pm. All new members welcome.
FILM CLUB
Due to the Parent Teacher meetings, there will be no After School Football on Monday or Film Club on Thursday. Art Club and P.4/P.5 football (on Thurs) continue as normal.
ANTI-BULLYING WEEK
This week is ‘Anti-Bullying week’ in association with the N. Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum. To mark this week, we will be welcoming along the Scallywags Puppet Group who will be presenting a special ‘Anti-Bullying’ Puppet Show for all our pupils. To cover some of the costs of the presentation, we respectfully ask for a donation of £1 per pupil.
WELCOME
We welcome along two student teachers this week when Miss Michaela Mimnagh and Mr Conor Meyler visit Mrs Breen’s class and Mr McElholm’s class, in advance of their formal teaching practice next February.
DO THIS IN MEMORY MASS
The first ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass will be celebrated this Sunday in the Sacred Heart Church at 12.30pm. Our school has been asked to provide the choir for this Mass and so we ask for as many pupils (P.5-P.7) to attend. P.4 pupils will sit with their parents and therefore cannot join the choir.
