Monday, 14th April 2014 Weekly Note

WELCOME BACK CIARA & MICHAELA

We welcome back to our school past pupils Ciara Cullinan and Michaela Mimnagh who are here on work experience from Loreto Grammar.  We hope you have an enjoyable few days girls.

TEAM MATHS CHALLENGE

Good luck to our 4 pupils who are off to Sacred Heart College tomorrow, where they will participate in a Maths Challenge.  Hopefully, all involved will have a good day and represent the school well.

 PENPAL COFFEE MORNING

This year, our P.7 pupils have been involved in a penpal exercise with local OAP’s in Gortmore Day Centre.  Following a successful and most enjoyable meeting back in December, we have invited our penpals back to the school this Wednesday for a cup of tea and some light entertainment.  We trust this will prove to be a lovely morning for both our P.7 pupils and their guests.

WHOLE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPH

The planned whole-school photograph did not materialise on Thursday due to the damp weather.  It is planned, however, to continue with this photograph when a mutually convenient date (& dry weather!) can be arranged.

EASTER HOLIDAYS

The school closes on Thursday, 17th April at 12.00pm for our Easter holidays.

Please note that there will be no school dinners available on this date

The school will re-open on Monday, 28th April at the usual time.  We trust that everyone in the entire school community has a very pleasant Easter holiday.

FOOTBALL

Girls football for 8-14yr olds is being held at the Club every Thursday evening from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.  All parents are welcome and encouraged to get involved.
