Monday, 12th September 2016 Weekly Note

The selection of after-school activities begins this week.

Monday           Football for P.6/7

Tuesday           Dance/Drama for P.4-P.7

Wednesday      Art Club P.4/5 (until Halloween)

There is a modest £5 fee for Dance/Drama but all other activities are free of charge.

Attendance at after-school clubs is strictly dependent upon behaviour and any pupil unable or unwilling to behave appropriately will be unable to participate in any after-school activity.  All after-school clubs end at 4.15pm and we ask that pupils are collected promptly at this time.

Also a little reminder for parents of KS1 pupils (P.1-P.3) that after school provision is now available (2.15-3.15pm) at a cost of £2 daily.  (Please note that the cost is reduced to £1 for any additional child in a family.)

Tin whistle for all pupils P.3-P.7 begins tomorrow Tuesday, 13th September.  We ask that parents play their part by encouraging their children to practise regularly and bring their whistles to school on Tuesdays.  In recent years an increasing number of pupils have been entered for traditional music exams with great success, so there are plenty of opportunities to achieve.

Any P.7 parent planning to get their child to sit the 2016 Transfer Exam for admission to Grammar School is reminded that registration closes on Friday, 23rd September.

The popular Credit Union savings scheme will resume in the school this Thursday

Consent forms were issued last week in relation to various aspects of Child Protection.  We ask that these be completed and returned to the school as soon as possible.  P.1 pupils should return Data Collection Forms and Consent Forms, while pupils from P.4-7 should return signed E-Safety Forms.
