Monday, 10th September 2012 Weekly Note

As all parents will now be aware, the school is the subject of an inspection next Monday & Tuesday (17th & 18th September).  We thank the many members of the community for their kind words of support and confidence and respectfully remind those that intend posting back the ETI questionnaires, that they need to be returned to the Inspectorate for Wednesday

(12th September).

The ever popular after-school drama club begins once again for pupils P4-P7 on Tuesday afternoon (3.15-4.00pm).  Anyone wishing to join up is more than welcome to do so but we ask that the term fee of £5 be paid promptly so as to cut down on admin duties.

Tin Whistle for all pupils P.3-P.7 begins on Tuesday.  We ask that parents play their part by encouraging their children to practise regularly and bring their whistles to school on Tuesdays.  In recent years, an increasing number of pupils have been entered for traditional music exams with great success, so there are plenty of opportunities for success.

A copy of the new dinner menu is attached. Week 2 of the menu begins this week.  Just a reminder to anyone paying for dinners by cheque, please make cheque payable to WELB.

Having wished our Classroom Assistant ‘Bon Voyage’ on her Australian adventure last week – we now welcome her back! Sharon’s trip has had to be deferred until the end of December, so we are delightedSharonis able to rejoin us in a temporary capacity.
