Monday, 10th November 2014 Weekly Note

TRANSFER EXAM

Good luck to all our P.7 pupils who will sit their Grammar School Entrance Exams this Saturday morning. All pupils will doubtless be somewhat nervous, but should be assured that they have worked very hard and can be proud of their efforts, irrespective of what grade February brings. Good luck all!

CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAYRE

Keep free Sunday, 7th December when our Parents’ Association have organised a fund-raising Christmas Craft Fayre. A wide range of seasonal crafts and goodies will be on sale or available to order and should prove a very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon to help get into the festive frame of mind. The school is planning to have a table of our own with home baking, bread, scones etc. We would appeal for anyone who feels able, to contribute towards this, as last years ‘home baking’ stall proved extremely popular.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL

Just a reminder for anyone hoping to contribute to this year’s shoebox appeal that all shoeboxes must be in the school for the earlier date of next Monday, 17th November .

CHRISTMAS PLAYS

Just a little reminder of the dates for our Christmas Plays. As in previous years it has been deemed necessary to split the presentations (via senior and junior classes) for reasons of Health & Safety and overcrowding.

P.1-P.3                        Christmas Plays                       Monday, 15th December @ 1.30pm

P.4-P.7                        Christmas Plays                       Wednesday, 17th December @ 7.30pm

ANTI-BULLYING WEEK

Anti-Bullying week is next week and to mark the event we have celebrated entertainer Tom Sweeney visiting the school next Monday, with a special Anti-Bullying presentation for the pupils. As always, Tom should prove an extremely popular visitor. We ask that pupils make a small donation of £1 to help costs.

DECEASED MEMBERS MASS

We have been asked to provide a choir at the Deceased Members Mass held in the GAA Club on Friday night at 7.30pm. We ask that as many pupils as possible (P4-7) are in attendance. All present are asked to wear their school uniform.
