BOOK FAIR
Our annual Book Fair is being hosted in the school this week. Feel free to pop in before or after-school to browse through the selection of books and stationery available for purchase.
SHARED EDUCATION
We are pleased to say that ourselves along with Denamona P.S. and St. Lawrence’s P.S. have made a successful bid for funding through Shared Education Programme. As a result all our 3 schools will embark on a variety of Shared Educational experiences over the next few years. In times of financial austerity, this additional funding will be a very welcome bonus to enable our pupils to broaden their educational experiences alongside pupils from our neighbouring schools.
INTERNET SAFETY
On a similar theme, one of our partner schools, St. Lawrence’s P.S. are hosting an Internet Safety talk (for adults) tomorrow night at 7.00pm. All are welcome to attend but please note that this presentation is aimed directly at parents so children should not attend.
THE BIG PEDAL
The school has registered for ‘The Big Pedal’ initiative this week which encourages pupils to try to cycle/scoot to school. In light of the good spell of weather and subsequent forecast for the week, we are nominating tomorrow (Tuesday) as our Big Pedal Day. Therefore we ask as many pupils as possible to cycle/scoot/walk at least part of their journey to school tomorrow. Should the pleasant weather continue, we would encourage as many as possible to keep this up for the rest of the week.
GOODBYE MISS MCGINN
This week sees the end of Miss McGinn’s teaching practice in the school. She has contributed enormously to life in Mrs Mellon’s room over the past 6 weeks and thank her for her hard work and wish her all the very best for her future teaching career.
