TRANSFER RESULTS
Well done to our P.7 pupils who endured a nerve-wracking Saturday morning, before the post arrived with Transfer grades. As mentioned previously, irrespective of grades awarded, all pupils should be proud of their efforts and if they maintain their current good attitude towards their work, will succeed – regardless of which school they transfer to.
INDOOR GAELIC
Good luck to our footballers who participate in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil indoor Gaelic competition this morning. At least they will not have to worry about the on-going poor weather for this competition!
CREDIT UNION QUIZ SUCCESS
Well done to all who participated in the Credit Union quiz on Friday night in Fintona Golf Club. All teams represented themselves very well and were right ‘in the mix’ until the later rounds. Particular mention, of course, must be made of our triumphant P.7 team of James Webster, Sarah Donnell, Mo McMahon and Conchur Darcy who won the quiz narrowly ahead of our other P.7 team of Cathal Darcy, Conor McCann, Erin McHugh and Caoimhe Timlin. Our victorious P.7 team has now qualified for the Chapter final in a few weeks time. Well done folks!
CONFIRMATION TALK
There will be a Confirmation talk on Wednesday night for parents of P.7 pupils. This talk will be held in Holy Family P.S. Lower School (formerly St. Colmcille’s P.S.) at 7.00pm. Please note that pupils do not need to attend.
PAIRED READING
The P.4/P.5 pupils are preparing to embark on the highly thought of ‘Paired Reading’ Project. To explain this programme and how it works, there will be a meeting in the school on Tuesday night 2nd February at 7.00pm. All parents and pupils in P.4/P.5 are greatly encouraged to attend. The meeting should last approximately 30-40 minutes.
FILM CLUB
Due to the commencement of rehearsals and preparations for our show ‘Circle of Life’, Film Club has now ended for the year.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
As part of Catholic Schools’ Week we will be having our annual Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday morning at 11.00am. All grandparents are warmly invited to attend for an hour or so of light ‘entertainment’ and a chance to see around the school. We look forward to seeing you then.
