Monday, 18th May 2015 Weekly Note
PAULINE BREEN R.I.P.
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our good friend Pauline yesterday morning. Pauline, of course, had served the school very well both as teacher and Principal from 1968 until her retirement in 2001. In spite of her retirement, she retained a great interest in school life and was always so keen to learn of the progress of the many pupils who had passed through her hands. She was a good friend to us all and her wise counsel, good humour and wonderful stories will be greatly missed. To her husband Jim and children Roisin, Seamus, Blanaid and Ciara, we offer our deepest sympathy. R.I.P. Pauline.
Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a h-anam.
WELL DONE BOYS
Well done Conor Mullin who performed at half-time in yesterday’s Tyrone v Donegal match in Ballybofey – an experience he will never forget.
We offer commiserations to our past pupils Eoighain Murray, James Darcy and Johnny Harkin, who all played on the Tyrone Minors yesterday. Whilst the result was disappointing, you can be very proud of your achievements both in representing your county and also in the fact that you act as such a positive role model for those in the community. Well done lads!!
MILLENNIUM CUP
Good luck to our current crop of footballers who travel to St. Conor’s P.S. on Wednesday morning to participate in the Millennium Cup.
DIETITIAN VISIT
The visit of the THINK dietitician which had to be cancelled due to illness, has been re-scheduled for this Thursday. Hopefully this presentation will encourage all pupils to think carefully about their eating habits and its impact on their health and well-being.
CASH FOR CLOBBER
The collection of unwanted clothing, bedding, shoes etc. will take place this Thursday, 21st May. All efforts are appreciated.
