CONGRATULATIONS CAROL
Congratulations are extended to our P.4 pupil Carol McKnight who recently was successful in a ‘Young Writers’ competition. As a result of her efforts, Carol will have her piece of work published in the Young Writers book along with the other successful pupils throughout the country. A fantastic achievement – well done Carol!
CROSS-COUNTRY COMPETITION
Good luck to all the participants in the Cross Country competition which will be held in Greencastle on Wednesday morning. A tough ‘cross country’ course will certainly test the legs but hopefully our youthful team can give a good account of themselves.
GOOD LUCK CONOR
Well done to Conor Mullan who has been selected to play at half-time in the Tyrone v Donegal Ulster Championship clash at Ballybofey on Sunday. Hopefully Conor will enjoy the experience of playing in front of such a large crowd. At the same time, Conor will also get the opportunity to study the progress of our past pupils, John Harkin, James Darcy and Eoighain Murray who are all on the Tyrone Minor panel. We are all very proud of your efforts boys and wish you the best of luck for Sunday.
SCOUTING IRELAND
A representative of the ‘Scouting Ireland’ group will visit the school on Friday when he will speak to the pupils about the Scouting movement. It is planned to re-energise the scouting movement in the Omagh area and hopefully this presentation will appeal to some of the boys and girls encouraging them to join up.
CASH FOR CLOBBER
It is planned to hold another ‘Cash for Clobber’ day on Thursday, 21st May. Anyone clearing out any unwanted clothes, bedding or shoes etc. is asked to donate these to the school as money raised will go towards the purchase of new ipads.
WALKING CLUB
The Walking Club will be meeting on Tuesdays at the GAA Club at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
