CONGRATULATIONS P.7’S

Congratulations are extended to all our P.7 pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday morning. A beautiful ceremony was administered by Bishop Donal McKeown and all passed off very smoothly. Hopefully all our P.7 pupils had a very special day and we trust and pray that our pupils will use the Holy Spirit for guidance in the years ahead. All P.7 pupils are asked to return their Confirmation Stoles to the school with a small donation of £3 for rental costs.

PENPAL COFFEE MORNING

Over the past year, our P.7 pupils have been involved in a penpal exercise with local OAPs who attend Gortmore Day Centre. Following a successful and most enjoyable meeting back in December, we have invited our senior penpals back to the school this Wednesday for some light entertainment and refreshments. We trust this will prove to be a lovely morning for both our P.7 pupils and their guests.

SCHOOL BOOK FAYRE

The annual school book fayre is being held in the school this week. A large number of books will be on sale to suit all ages – feel free to pop in any morning or evening to have a browse.

MR & MRS EVENT

A ‘Mr & Mrs’ fun night is being held this Saturday night in Tattyreagh G.A.C. at 9.30pm. All families are warmly invited to come along for a good night’s craic.

The sessions will be held at Omagh Leisure Complex every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm commencing this week (25th). Cost is £1 per week. Parental support is required and anyone with queries is asked to contact Cathal McEnhill or Paul Harley.

IRISH FEIS

Pupils in this year’s Irish Feis have now been issued with their poems. Please note that pre-recorded copies of the Irish Poem are available on the school website under the ‘feis’ tab. This should assist with both the learning and pronunciation of the poems.

The next ‘Do This In Memory’ Mass for P.4 pupils, will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church this Sunday at 12.30pm.

FAREWELL MISS BRADLEY

We bid farewell to our student teacher Miss Rosa Bradley who has been in the school over the past 6 weeks. We trust that she enjoyed her time at Sacred Heart P.S. and wish her well for her future career.
