TRANSFER RESULTS
Well done to all our P.7 pupils who endured a nerve-wracking Saturday morning, before the post arrived with Transfer grades. As mentioned previously, irrespective of grades awarded, all pupils should be proud of their efforts and if they maintain their current good attitude towards their work, will succeed – regardless of which school they transfer to.
INDOOR GAELIC
Good luck to our footballers who participate in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil indoor Gaelic competition on Tuesday morning. At least they will not have to worry about the ongoing poor weather for this competition!
NO AFTER SCHOOL FOOTBALL
Please note that due to a training course there will be no after school football on Wednesday of this week.
PAIRED READING
The P.4/P.5 pupils are preparing to embark on the highly thought of ‘Paired Reading’ Project. To explain this programme and how it works, there will be a meeting in the school on Tuesday night (4th Feb.) at 7.30pm. All parents and pupils in P.4/P.5 are greatly encouraged to attend.
TENNIS COACHING
A new tennis coaching programme will be commencing in the school this week. A grant for sports coaching was secured following a joint bid by ourselves, Drumlish P.S. and Knocknagor P.S. The first coaching scheme offered will be that of tennis, which commences for pupils in P.6/P.7 on Friday morning –something new and different which should appeal to all.
Thanks are due to Louise McKnight, Principal of Drumlish P.S. for all her help and effort in helping to organise the coaching, juggling schedules etc. Never an easy task!
CREDIT UNION QUIZ
Well done to all who participated in the Credit Union Quiz on Saturday in Fintona Golf Club. Particular mention must be made of one of our P.7 teams who finished in 2nd place and the P.6 team who finished in 3rd place. Thanks to all who came along.
