Monday, 13th January 2014 Weekly Note
WELCOME LEONIA
We welcome back our past pupil Miss Leonia Mimnagh who commences her teaching practice this morning. Leonia will be based in Mrs Breen’s room for the next 5 weeks. You’re very welcome back Leonia!
CONGRATULATIONS HUGH!
Another of our past pupils needs to be acknowledged this morning as Hugh Gallagher made his debut for Tyrone Seniors yesterday afternoon at HealyPark. Indeed, in a somewhat novel twist, he faced another past pupil in the shape of his brother, Turlough who was playing for Queen’s University!
CONFIRMATION TALK
There will be a talk for parents of Confirmation pupils next Monday, 20th January in St. Joseph’s Hall at 8.00pm. Pupils do not need to attend this meeting.
The following Monday, 27th January will see the ‘Service of Light’ ceremony in the Sacred HeartChurch at 7.30pm. In a new format, Confirmation pupils will be invited to make their ‘pledge’ during this particular Mass. This is to ensure that the importance of the pledge is not ‘lost’ in the post confirmation/end of P.7 work.
Just a little reminder that the actual Confirmation ceremony for our pupils will be celebrated on Saturday, 22nd March at 3.00pm.
