WELCOME BACK
We extend a warm welcome back to all our pupils after the Christmas break. We trust that Santa successfully made it to all homes in Tattyreagh and that the season was one of great joy for all families.
ENROLMENT FORMS
Please note that application forms for prospective P.1 pupils next year are still available in the office. All forms are asked to be returned to the school for this Friday, 11th January.
MILK
Milk will start again this Thursday (10th) with a cost of £6.70 per pupil up to Easter. Money should be sent in by Wednesday of this week.
CONFIRMATION
As mentioned previously, our P.7 pupils will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, 16th February at 11.00am. In preparation for this huge day in our P.7 pupils’ spiritual development a ‘Service of Light’ will be held in the Sacred Heart Church next Monday night (14th Jan) at 7.30pm. There will also be a Confirmation talk for parents the following Monday, (21st Jan) at 8.00pm inSt. Joseph’s Hall.
ULSTER WILDLIFE TRUST
Members of the Ulster Wildlife Trust will be visiting the school on Friday morning to work with pupils in P.4/P.5. The focus of the visit is Garden Birds and pupils will have the opportunity to make some bird food of their own to help attract a greater variety of birds into the school grounds.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
There will be no After School Clubs this week, but the usual clubs for Drama (P.4-P.7), Gaelic Football (P.6-P.7) and Film Club (P.5-P.7) will commence as usual next week. Anyone planning to attend the Drama Club is asked to submit their £5 fee this week so as to assist with administration.
GUITAR LESSONS
Pupils in P.7 will commence their weekly guitar lessons this Wednesday. Guitars are available for those who require one. All parents are asked to ensure that their children take some time to practice this instrument so as to maximise the value of the tuition costs.
DRUMRAGH PARISH DRAW
The school is once again acting as a promoter for the Drumragh Parish Draw. Anyone who wishes to subscribe to the draw is asked to contact the school this week as the first draw will be held next Tuesday (15th Jan).
SCHOOL DINNERS
This week the Dinner Menu is starting again at Week 1.
TIN WHISTLE EXAMS
The school has successfully entered pupils for the traditional Tin Whistle exams over the last few years. The entry fees need to be in Dublinfor the 10th January and so Nuala Sweeney has requested that the entry fee of £22.50 needs to be submitted for her class tomorrow.
